Home Watch Services – Ft. Myers Beach

Home watch services provided once a month, bi-weekly or weekly. In addition to our standard home watch services, we take digital photos of your home and email them to you every time we visit. You’ll be able to see your home and feel confident that we are taking great care of your residence.

Our Home Watch Services Include:

Interior & Exterior

  • Verify all doors and windows are properly secure
  • Visual inspections for signs of pests
  • Post-storm visual inspections for severe weather damage
  • Visual inspection for signs of mold and mildew
  • Check for visible water leaks
  • Check interior temperature
  • Check for obvious damage to  interior of house
  • Check ceilings for evidence of water damage
  • Turn on/off main water
  • Run dishwasher (upon request)
  • Run garbage disposal (upon request)
  • Flush toilets and run water in sinks to ensure quality of water lines
  • Check alarm system to make sure it is armed and home is secure after each inspection
  • Immediate reporting to client of any abnormalities found
  • Walk around perimeter of home and check for broken windows
  • Monitor lawn care and/or pool maintenance services
  • Gather mail and place in designated area
  • Pick up newspapers and flyers
  • Check front door for door hangers, notes, etc.

 

Additional Services

These services are arranged free of charge but additional charge for goods or services rendered will apply.

 

  • Meet and/or monitor service personnel
  • Oversee home improvements and/or renovations on a daily basis
  • Arrange emergency repair services
  • Prepare for arrival (turn on water heater, air conditioning, etc.)
  • Forward important items/packages delivered to the home
  • Accept deliveries at our office
  • Water interior plants
  • Start up vehicles and take for required service
  • Turn on golf cart and check water levels
  • Check boat to make sure lines are tight and bilge pumps are working properly
  • Storm preparation – assist in developing a storm plan and assist with the execution of plan
  • Meet car transporter
  • Arrange for car service to/from airport

Post-Departure Package

  • Secure hurricane shutters
  • Cover or move patio furniture inside
  • Turn off main water valve
  • Turn off water heater
  • Adjust thermostat summer level
  • Unplug all electrical items
  • Empty and turn off all ice makers
  • Close blinds and draperies
  • Empty trash and recycle bins and move into garage
  • Activate alarm system and verify it is armed and home is secure
  • Notify security of departure
  • Arrange transportation to airport
  • Arrange housekeeping services
  • Arrange automobile transport truck for vehicles going out of state

Pre-Arrival Package

  • Remove hurricane shutters
  • Arrange for mulch, seasonal flowers or any landscaping service
  • Uncover or put out patio furniture
  • Turn on electric breakers
  • Turn on main water valve
  • Turn on hot water heater
  • Adjust thermostat to cool home
  • Plug in all electrical items
  • Turn on all ice makers
  • Check interior and exterior lights
  • Open all blinds and draperies
  • Flush toilets to ensure quality of water lines
  • Run the dishwasher
  • Run garbage disposal
  • Start vehicle
  • Notify security of arrival
  • Arrange car service from airport
  • Vehicle wash, gas and detail

In the event an immediate problem arises, you will be contacted by phone and email. After contacting you, we will gladly coordinate a vendor of preference to make any repairs. Services will be billed by the repair contractor directly to the client.

A 24-hour notice is appreciated for all requested services outside of your regular schedule.
